One With The Stars

How do you catch a falling star,
when it flies through the black sea of night?
She streaks so fast the light a blur - and then she's out of sight.

How do you catch a falling star
that dances through the shadowy trees?
Her swift steps to the invisible beat - that softly ends in the breeze.

How do you catch a falling star
that gives a trail of star dust so wide?
Her orange and red flowing hair - whisps along that airy ride.

How do you catch a falling star
and hold the moment, time free?
It just can't last, she moves too fast - elusive streaks she appears to me.

How do you catch a falling star -
with a golden lasso from my heart
not to capture, but to remain free - to become a part, and fly with thee.
