Cassiopeia graces the sky watching the dragon expand
through the dark starry sea.
Folding and lowering my hands I pray, eyes affixed heavenward
the cold night air kisses red my cheek.
The ocean of dispair contained in a tear - drops from me,
"O'Lord", I whisper, "I need your help I know
you're with me."
"Which way shall I go? What choices do I make?
What path do I take? O'Lord which way shall I go?"
"My heart is weary, lost it seems,
I can't see beyond - anything.
It won't last long, it never does, you test my faith
and try my mind of everything."
Overwhelmed, still gazing up, stars bright eyed,
more tears fall.
Feeling humbled by the great night sky,
a part of his creation, I'm tiny and small.
Silence of the Great Bear remains transfixed
and the dance of the Plieades waltz.
"Yes my Lord, I remember everything you've taught."
As I look through the oak tree branches
remaining silent in my mind,
I hear a voice in the cold silent night,
whispering softly and kind.
"You are strong my love, I have faith in you.
Everything will be alright -
I'm there with you all the time
you are never alone in your times of strife.
I'll keep you safe in my arms and send cosmic hugs too.
But look! and gaze! there's a promise for you!"
A trail of red sparks dance with the night -
a shooting star!
I slowly smile with a tear.
My troubles fade to an embers glow
taking comfort and having no more fear.
I feel a smile returning to my heart
of this rememberance I've been told.
A deep cold breath, cleansing and fresh,
I'm soo thankful he's my Lord.
O'King of my Heart of this starry realm -
he who commandeth the stars.
