Take my hand...and walk with me -
When the trail gets too rocky, the rocks are very sharp,
and the slope is way too steep, I am right beside you,
If you faulter and stumble - I will wait for thee.
You'll be here quickly, I will help you up,
Climbing the best you can, now beside you I'll be,
If you faulter and stumble - I will wait for thee.

Take my hand...and swim with me -
When the river rises, we must then swim,
I'll be strong and fight, right behind you I'll be,
If I faulter and go under - please wait for me.
I'll be there quickly as soon as I come up,
Treading water best I can, now beside you I'll be
If I faulter and go under - please wait for me.

Take my hand...
Together we journey, life's most wonderful path,
Right beside the other, taking hands tight in each,
If we faulter and stumble - we'll be right there in reach.
