The Royal Catch Poem by Hanoochi

The Royal Catch

by Hanoochi

Elegant creature soars in the azure sky
Regal flight with razor eyes scans the water.

Ruffled feathers, golden claws plucks the large fry,
From the sun lit swirls, the grasp will not falter.

Majestic wings with white shining head glides by,
A destined fish to feed the royal daughter.

From the regal perch of nested sticks he cries,
The graceful mate, ancient voice in strength replies.
