"The Wild Winds Blow"
by Hanoochi
I can't explain what I feel inside,
the storm that rages within,
Tearing, gnawing, slashing my being,
to the bone, ripping my skin.
Tis not a storm over water,
nor windy rain and lightning,
But the tornado, I ride,
whirls inside me.
My thoughts transform,
perceptions grow and change,
those long lost feelings hit my cells,
like a hurricane.
Tears swirl in the chaos,
a mighty raging river,
swelling over the banks,
but never quite emerging.
So many emotions,
blowing through the dark and flooded cave,
the torrents of the silent pain,
passes through me in waves.
When will the storm subside and be calm once again?
I grip firmly to the rock of my heart n'soul,
thoughts and feelings run wild,
the wild wind blows.
